First words are never easy

Greetings and Welcome to my SecondLife Blog!

I, Petros Miklos as I am known in-world, have been around in SL for quite some time, nearly 9 months (with some unexplained disappearances in between), and I’m on a journey!

A journey for ?… you might ask. Well, it comes to me that being in SL you often find yourself trying to redefine yourself, or your SL experience if you’d like, trying to find what you like and new things to do (and not get bored). So, you see, for me SL is not just a game. It can be just that, but for most people (at least the majority of those worth knowing) SL is much more then just a game. Its an experience, a social network, a huge chat room, a place where people can meet at a higher level of interaction without prejudice (well, to some extent) and in theory you can anything you’d like… while in reality you’re limited by your own imagination and other people’s actions and will. But in essence it can be anything you’d like… you just have to know what it is you want, and that’s the hard part. Why? Because sometimes what we want is not what we need. Sometimes what we want is not achievable the way we imagine it. Sometimes… well, sometimes its just not meant to be.

So that’s why I consider myself a wandering avatar in this World. A bard of sorts, learning tales as he travels, leaving a few on his own and… one day, well… I won’t sing them, I promise you that !! )

So… That’s that. What do I want? Who is Petros? Will either question be answered in my journey? Will it be a lifetime quest or just one of many more to come? Who knows… all I know is that I am here to stay, no matter how much my Real Life avatar suffers with it !!
